<description>I feel you on this. I just recently realized the old mark twain addage. In my line, you have to be asking people not only questions, but for favors on a consistant basis. I'm getting more and more into the idea of the squeeky wheel and also just a deeper knowing that people want to be asked questions, they want to share their expertise...it makes them feel really good, maybe even better than the questioner recieving the hoped-for answer..because people really do like to help eachother. It took me three years to aks a certain person for her help and she was like "what took you so long?!"

<description>I admire your urge to put things in their place right away. We've been in our place about 5 months and still have our books in boxes. This is more about space issues though.

<description>"Sometimes my writing gets talked out of existence, other times I can not see through the thick layers of heat that rest between me and any semblance of creativity."

For me, that "heat" is "uncultured apathy" from where I do what you do. Two months later, after immersing myself at the farm, playing too much slip n' slide at the co-ops, and experimenting with food unimagined this summer, I've finally come to your world web reality.

It's late August, and I'm finally organizing myself for near future research. I've sat down this weekend, sifting through three "I-don't-know-why-I-have" black notebooks to compile into one. My first notes this summer, on June 26th, 2008 - "existentialmedia.org/thebreeze".

Upon comment, I've bookmarked your world wide reality. Now do so with mine - wearehowweeat.blogspot.com

Cheers,

<description>Here's an interesting addition: The invention of the railways was a monumental influence in the creation of the National Parks Service. So, not only did it introduce universal time, it also introduced access to certain types of space that are unique to American history and identity; spaces that relate to humans' sense of real time and corporeal experience.
